About

The Corner is a grassroots community outreach program and multi-purpose space of Friendship Community Church located between the Oakland and Hill District neighborhoods.

Founded in 2011, The Corner community center was born out of the need for a local, safe “third-place” neighborhood space. The Corner serves as a pinnacle of cultural enrichment and a thriving center for the arts, social justice advocacy, education, and community engagement.
